Waveney Valley Lakes | Ownership FAQ

FAQs - Ownership

Holiday Homes, whether Caravans or Lodges, are sold with an industry standard BH&HPA Pitch Licence Agreement, and it is this agreement which sets the terms under which the Holiday Homes occupy their plots.

Caravans: Each new caravan is sold with a 15 year Pitch Licence Agreement (to which terms apply). This ensures that the standard of the caravans on the Park is maintained. Used caravans are sold with the balance of the 15 year term, or the balance of a term which has been previously extended. The length of term for each used and client owned caravan is explicitly advertised, with no further extensions available at this time.

Single Lodges: Single unit Lodges, which are up to 13ft wide, are sold with 20 year Pitch Licence Agreement (to which terms apply). Used Single Lodges are sold with the balance of the 20 year term.

16ft Twin Lodges: New 16ft wide Lodges are sold with a 25 year Pitch Licence Agreement (to which terms apply). Used 16ft Lodges are sold with the balance of the 25 year term.

20ft Twin Lodges: New 20ft wide Lodges are sold with a 35 year Pitch Licence Agreement (to which terms apply). Used 20ft Lodges are sold with the balance of the 35 year term. The length of term for each used and client owned Lodge is explicitly advertised.

Many of our owners chose to part exchange and renew their Holiday Home before their Pitch Licence Agreement expires, taking advantage of our fantastic
part-exchange rates and continuing to enjoy all of the benefits that Holiday Home ownership at Waveney Valley Lakes offers. If, however, you own the Holiday Home as it reaches the end of your Pitch Licence Agreement and you do not wish to continue with ownership we have a number of trade contacts who may be interested in purchasing your Holiday Home. Alternatively you can remove your caravan from site and the park will arrange for your caravan to be removed from the pitch and made available for collection by your chosen caravan transportation company. Additional costs to consider include a disconnection charge from your pitch and if you have a veranda there will be a cost to dismantle it. Costs will be available from the Sales Office.

If in the event you no longer wish to be an owner with us, there are three options available to you to sell your caravan. Firstly, the park reserves the right of first refusal of the offer price. If you decide not to accept our offer you can then either sell to a third party buyer looking to purchase on the park or sell to a caravan trader. Alternatively, you can make a gift of the caravan to a proven family member if you wish. Additional costs to consider include a disconnection charge from your pitch and if you have a veranda there will be a cost to dismantle it. Costs will be available from the Sales Office.

We require no less than two months' notice in writing for customers that wish to remove their Holiday Home from the park. Where applicable there will be a disconnection and de-siting fee. This can vary depending on location and whether a crane is required. Additional costs to consider include a disconnection charge from your pitch and if you have a veranda there will be a cost to dismantle it. Costs will be available from the Sales Office. Any outstanding owner account balance will need to be settled in full and the disconnection and de-siting fee paid before the Holiday Home is removed from pitch.
